Sebastiano Santostefano, Ph.D., ABPP serves as Director of the Institute.
Dr. Santostefano brings extensive experience as a practicing clinical
psychologist and psychoanalyst, university professor, researcher and
author. For twenty years, (1972-1992) he held the position of Director
of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychoeducation,
Hall Mercer Center for Children and Adolescents at McLean Hospital,
as well as Associate Professor of Psychology Department of Psychiatry
at Harvard Medical School. During previous years, he held faculty appointments
at Boston University Graduate School and Boston University Medical School,
Clark University, and the University of Colorado Medical Center. Dr.
Santostefano is a licensed psychologist/health service provider in the
state of Massachusetts and is certified in clinical psychology by the
American Board of Examiners in Professional Psychology. He also completed
training in child and adult psychoanalysis and graduated from the Boston
Psychoanalytic Institute in 1973.
Susan Rooney Santostefano, M.Ed., serves as Assistant Director and
Coordinator of Community and Education Programs. She also provides diagnostic
and counseling services. For ten years, (1982-1992) she served as Chief
Administrator of Cognitive Therapy and Diagnostic Service, Wellesley,
Massachusetts. She also held the position of associate in counseling
psychology providing diagnostic and counseling services and school consultation.
J. Scott Creighton, Psy.D., serves as Staff Psychologist and Director
of Training. Dr. Creighton also held part-time positions as Assistant
Attending Child Psychologist at McLean Hospital, Belmont, MA; Instructor
of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, Cambridge,
MA; Instructor of Psychology, Wheelock College, Boston, MA. He is a
licensed psychologist in the state of Massachusetts and is currently
on the faculty at Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
Patricia Blaisdell Burke, Ph.D., serves as Staff Psychologist and On-Site
Supervisor of Community Programs. She earned her doctorate in developmental
psychology from Boston College in 1996 where she completed in-depth
studies and research in psychological development from infancy through
adolescence, personality development, and family relationships and attachments.
Before completing graduate studies, Dr. Burke served as a teacher for
13 years.
Chantal Royer, MA, serves as Psychology Associate and Staff Counselor.
She earned her master's degree in counseling psychology from Boston
College.
Asimina Panayoutou, currently a doctoral student in her second year
at Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.
Bridget O'Connell, BA, serves as . She earned her BA degree in psychology
from The College of The Holy Cross.
Lucy Hollingsworth, BS, serves as Administrator. She earned her BS
degree in marketing from Suffolk University, Boston, MA.
